The bets are placed before every round and your hand should be better than the dealer to beat him. The advantage to the dealer in this game is higher because, if your hand ties with him, then dealer would be winner and you a looser.

The game starts after every player places bets for that hand. Once betting is placed, the dealer deals 7 cards to each player. The player will have to make two separate hands, one with two cards another with 5 cards. The value of the hand is same as poker, only difference lies with straight of A-2-3-4-5, which is termed as second highest straight, instead of lowest straight.
